  11. (27.07.2003) Recommendation Letter (in Hebrew) from my teacher Danny Waxman concerning my new Book "Tai-chi and other Treasures".

  12. (10.06.2003) Ofer's book titled "Tai Chi and other treasures" was published today in Israel. This edition is in Hebrew and has more then 200p and 90 chapters. For more details please go to www.tai-chi-book.com. .One of the other treasures – the most important one, in Ofer's book is Zazen. There, he presents the Hebrew translation of Fukanzazengi - Guidelines for Zazen sitting (that He and his teacher Danny Waxman made) and write: "If there is one text that we can take to a deserted Island - Fukanzazengi is that text. If there is one practice that we can take with us to a deserted island – Zazen is that practice".

  13. (01.12.2002) In November 2002 we celebrated 3 years of being on air. More then 47,000 people entered the site. According to statistic 80% are newcomers, and 20% are returners. Around 17,000 people found the texts of Dogen, Prof. Masunaga and Danny Waxman worthy of their time. This is good. More then 200 people from all around the world wish to be on our Zen mailing list. We always welcome them and others. Danny asked me to send you some paragraphs of Shobogenzo. Send them to read Shobogenzo he told me. I asked Danny: Why finding the true self is important? He said: Because there is nothing else. It is the most important task in life.
Best of creative, compassionate year to you all, may many of you will understand this year the beauty and strength of Let-go.

  14. (16.03.2002) Dew to the efforts of Mr. Wolfgang Waas; for the first time in the History of Israeli Zen, two important essays of our Zen teacher Mr. Danny Waxman have been translated to German! This is an important event! And anew dimension of cooperation between Israeli and German people. Danny is very enthusiastic about the possibilities of farther cooperation with the German people and especially Zen and Buddha followers. His hope is to be able to teach in Germany, since he thinks that there are many open hearted people in Germany for the teachings of Zen.

  15. (18.10.2001) some news:
On the 28.07.01 Our Zen teacher Danny Waxman was 65 years old. His students and friends wish that he would have many more fruitful years in all aspects of life and much health. Last month we had the annual meeting of many of Danny's students of Zen and the Martial Arts. We made Kumzitz – which is in Hebrew, making a fire in the outdoor surroundings, in our case in a camping place within a forest in Mount Carmel. There was a splendid Atmosphere and it was a remarkable event. In about 2 weeks, we will celebrate 2 years of being on air. more then 30,000 people entered the site. According to statistic 80% are newcomers, and 20% are returners. In the end of the first year the number of visitors was 11,000. Thank you to all of you, for choosing to spend your valuable time on the Zen teachings that are presented on this site. People visit our site from far away and from many countries. Finland, Japan, Brazil, Canada, Israel, China, USA, England, Italy, Turkey to name a few. This Site is called Zenki.com. Why? Because Zenki is one of the most important concepts in Zen teaching, and to my mind (Ofer) the most difficult chapter in Shobogenzo. I am working now on adding the chapter Zenki to the site, so all our readers would be able to study and enjoy Prof. Masunaga Reiho translation of this deep and profound teaching.

  16. (09.06.2001) Here, and in the Introduction Page, you will find the cream of the cream of the Zen teachings of Dogen, Keizan, Prof. Masunaga Reiho and Danny Waxman. Now there are 30 phrases in our Zen Banner, Yet, I plan in time to put 100 and more. So you will meet a different Zen saying each and every time you choose to enter, and please choose.

  20. (09.12.2000) About Donations to the Zen projects.

  21. (12.11.2000) Some words about our Zen plans for the year 2001.

    • In about few weeks, the translation of the English edition of Danny Waxman's Zen book: "Zen Question and answers", will be completed. It will include 5 additional Zen articles that where written especially for the English edition.
The names of the new articles are:
      • Zen teacher and students relationships in modern times.
      • The importance of the Universal Mind.
      • The appearance of a Koan in daily living.
      • On the Essentials of Living.
      • Zen in Daily Life - The Soto Approach to Zen: the gist of my teaching.
This last short article written by Danny Waxman is meant to be a kind of brochure, introducing main points of Zen teaching as are emphasized by late Prof. Masunaga Reiho, and by his disciple Danny Waxman. It is now being translated also into Russian. We plan to try to translate it also for Spanish and in the future to other languages as well.
The English edition will include around 95 Questions and answers, while the Hebrew edition includes 70. This is dew to new questions that where aroused by Danny's students during the last months.
    • In sum, besides Danny's answers to the Zen questions, and his articles, the book will include a tribute to his Zen teacher Prof. Masunaga Reiho. A group of very interesting Zen essays by Prof. Masunaga, and of course his marvelous translation of Fukanzazengi.
    • Next phase is to publish the book in an honorable publishing house, we hope to complete this mission during 2001.
    • We have received symbolic financing support from the president of Israel Culture Fund to publish in Hebrew the collection of Prof. Masunaga writings and some important translations from Shobogenzo. It was around 500$ and is meant to encourage us and let us know that the value of Prof. Masunaga was noted by the cultural establishment of Israel. We hope to gather enough money, 6000-7000$ for an honorable publication of this great Zen teacher writings.
    • We are also striving to Re-publish Prof. Masunaga English books again! We thinks that all Zen enthusiastic as well as other people with spiritual and cultural and humanistic inclinations, will be benefited enormously by reading the words of this modern enlightened Buddha.
    • Donations for both projects will be accepted with appreciation.
    • We are now having Zen sessions every week on Sundays in Ramat-Gan, which is a neighboring city to Tel-Aviv. We hope this year to open a Zen group in Jerusalem.
    • Another important plan is that in this year - 2001 Danny Waxman will start to teach Zen in Europe and the USA. Those of you that will be interested in meeting him and train Zen with him are welcome to make contact, and your requests will be best received.
    • Note of appreciation to S.Mani and E.B, my colleague's Zen students and friends,
for their donation that helps to maintain this site alive also in 2001.
I wish you all would have the best of health and prosperity and may you all find and meet or at best be a true Zen teacher and succeed to combine fruitfully Zen practice with every day life.
    Ofer C.
